Gold explorer climbs on drill results

Canadian small cap and micro cap market movers on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, as of 12:30 pm EST. Today, we have identified small, Canada-listed stocks making big price and volume moves on company news.

Gold X2 Mining Inc (TSXV: AUXX) shares rose 5% to $1.76, on volume of more than 1.5 million shares, Tuesday after the gold project developer reported initial drill results from two drill holes targeting high grade mineralization at depth in the QES Zone at the Moss Gold Project in northwest Ontario, which included 117.0 metres (m) of 1.21 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 10.0m of 4.37 g/t gold.

The company believes that near surface intercept in the Superion Zone demonstrates the potential to add to near surface resources.

As well, shares of Copper Giant Resources Corp (TSXV: CGNT) gained 10% to $0.87 a day after the resource project developer said it has engaged Frank Wright as independent metallurgical consultant and selected SGS Canada as the certified and independent company to execute the next phase of metallurgical testing at its flagship Mocoa copper–molybdenum porphyry project in Putumayo, Colombia.

Cosa Resources Corp (TSXV: COSA), meanwhile, announced expansions to the Murphy Lake North (MLN), Darby, and Orion projects. Darby and MLN are joint ventures between Cosa and Denison Mines Corp (TSX: DML) and are located 10 kilometres west of Cameco’s Cigar Lake Mine. Cosa Resources stock moved up 12% to $0.57 following the announcement.

And, Atomic Minerals Corporation (TSXV: ATOM) shares added 10% at $0.115 after the exploration company said it has submitted drill permits for its South Lisbon Valley East property in Utah.

“We are permitting an initial 18-20 drill holes in a series of fences across the property to test for uranium mineralization as well as establish the full width of the suspected arcuate belt along the length of the property,” Atomic Minerals CEO Clive Massey said in a statement.

“We strongly believe significant uranium mineralization lies within the target belt, analogous to the previously producing uranium belt on the southwest side of the Lisbon Valley Fault.”
