Walker River Resources insider buying continues, stock climbs

August 24, 2026 — Walker River Resources Corp (TSXV: WRR) hasn’t released news since June this year, but company insider buying has been steady for the past two months. Meanwhile, Walker River’s stock price has climbed nearly 42% over the past month to its current market value of $0.34 per share.

On June 11, 2026, Walker River Resources announced that it had kicked off a reverse circulation (RC) drill program for 2026 at its Lapon Canyon Gold Project in Nevada. The company noted that the current drill program is designed to advance resource expansion and boost exploration through both infill and step-out drilling.

Walker River added that results from this and previous drill programs will be included in an initial mineral resource estimate for the Project, which is expected to be completed this year.

Notable, the recent insider buying has been from company CEO Michel David and independent director Eric Falardeau. The most recent purchases occurred on August 7 and August 12, respectively.

The Lapon Gold Project consists of 2940 acres situated in Nevada’s Walker Lane shear zone. Walker Lane is home to some historic high-grade mines, such as the Comstock Lode silver/gold mine and Esmeralda/Aurora mine.

While Walker Lane is less well known than Nevada’s prolific Carlin trend, its discoveries have been much higher grade compared with Carlin’s operating mines that mostly produce at less than 1 gram per tonne (g/t) per tonne gold.

In February, Walker River Resources released drill results that included 3.79 g/t gold over 85.34 metres (m). The company added that the results continue to confirm and extend gold mineralization to the south and east of the Hotspot zone.

Hotspot was the primary target for the 2025 drill program, which is the company’s high-grade, near surface discovery, and potential porphyry system, made in 2021.

With this seemingly steady stream of buying by company insiders, could shareholders receive some good news soon?
